Wait, dermarolling for hair thinning?

Yes! The process of dermarolling, or microneedling, was first developed as a treatment for acne scar, stretch marks and wrinkles in the early Noughties. Since then, the benefits of using it as a treatment for both male and female pattern baldness were discovered, and it can even be used as a treatment for alopecia areata. Enter the new process of scalp rolling. By using the roller on your scalp, you stimulate the production of collagen in your skin - which is why it is so effective for treating acne scars. Research has also shown that scalp rolling can encourage the production of stem cells in the hair follicles, which can then lead to hair growth. On top of all that, scalp rolling can also promote the efficacy and absorption of all our hair treatment products and solutions.

So, how does it work?

Our handheld derma roller for your scalp is incredibly easy to use. Simply roll it along the treatment area, and it makes tiny microscopic pinpricks - don’t worry, they don’t hurt or cause any permanent damage. This provokes the release of growth hormones that stimulate the follicles for new hair growth. Depending on the size of the treatment area, you should only be rolling for a few minutes. Once you’ve rolled, apply the Regrowz stimulant.

Product information

What is the size of the Hair and Scalp roller needles?

Each Regrowz hair and scalp roller has 192, 0.5mm sized titanium needles.

Recommended cleaning process for Regrowz Hair & Scalp roller?

I would recommend cleaning the roller after every usage since dead cells and dirt could remain on the product. The best way is to soak the used roller in warm water for 3-6 seconds, submerge it in the isopropyl solution (alcohol percentage above 60) for around 1 hour, rinse under warm water for 30-60 sec and keep it dry on a clean cloth before storage. Remember to sanitise before use and after use.

Can hair rollers damage my hair?

No, the roller does not harm your hair; instead, it stimulates the formation of collagen in your skin by rolling it over your scalp. And it's a very effective step for hair growth.

How does the Hair & Scalp roller work?

Roll the device freely over the area, first horizontally, then vertically, and then diagonally. Roll over area 5-10 times changing direction before applying the Hair Treatment. Apply enough pressure to feel a slight tingling sensation in the scalp but not enough to cause excessive discomfort. It will help to remove dead skin cells from the scalp, improves circulation and the application and efficacy of Regrowz Hair Treatment. Remember not to over-use it. And, if there is hair in the area, be sure to move in the direction of the hair strands to avoid pulling at the hairs.

How often should I use?

Twice a week is the recommended amount of usage on your scalp but if you are using Regrowz Hair Treatments, it is recommended every other day.

Is it dangerous?

Not at all, until you used it on any open wounds, active acne, nodular/pustular rosacea, eczema, sunburn, or unusual skin disease. Do not use if you have sensitive skin and if you are taking drugs that cause photosensitivity, antidepressants, antibiotics or maybe allergic to metals. Remember redness may occurs, it’s totally normal if you witness redness on your scalp but we do not recommend you use it until your scalp bleeds.

Does it hurt?

No. However, to get the full effect of the Hair & Scalp roller, you will have to apply enough pressure to feel a slight tingling sensation in the scalp, but not enough to cause excessive discomfort.

How often so I need to change my hair and scalp roller?

It’s a great question. We would recommend changing the Hair & Scalp Roller every 3 months & to be cleaned at least once a week.
